2-1 | Message from our Conference Coordinator
Dear ISCA Members,
The preparation of INTERSPEECH 2014, Singapore is now going on very smoothly owing to great efforts of local organizing team and technical program committee. The number of paper submissions was close to 1200, reflecting the continued enthusiasm for INTERSPEECH in our community.
First INTERSPEECH conference was held in Beijing in 2000 as a merger of two series of conferences, EUROSPEECH and ICSLP. Since then INTERSPEECH conferences have been held annually with increasing numbers of papers and participants. We are glad to have its 15th edition in Singapore.
The three future INTERSPEECH conferences will follow the Singapore conference: -INTERSPEECH 2015; Dresden; 6-10 September, 2015 (General Chair: Sebastian Möller) -INTERSPEECH 2016; San Francisco; 18-22 August, 2016 (General Chair: Nelson Morgan) -INTERSPEECH 2017; Stockholm; 20-24 August, 2017 (General Chair: Francisco Lacerda)
We welcome proposals for hosting INTERSPEECH 2018 and beyond. The Call for Bids for INTERSPEECH 2018 will be announced right after INTERSPEECH 2014. We encourage you to contact us if you have any ideas of organizing future INTERSPEECH conferences. To continue the track record of excellence of INTERSPEECH, ISCA Board is willing to provide advice in the bidding process.
We appreciate very much for your continuing supports to INTERSPEECH conferences, and looking forward to seeing you at a bit hot but very nice city of Singapore soon.
P.S.: Do not forget to attend ISCA General Assembly and Closing Ceremony of INTERSPEECH 2014. You will be able to get a better idea of 2015, 2016, 2017 conferences. Do visit the INTERSPEECH and ISCA booth at INTERSPEECH!
Best regards,
Keikichi Hirose Conference Coordinator, ISCA
