Dear colleagues,

This March issue brings sad news: Man Moan Sondhi passed away. He was a very brilliant scientist and a perfect gentleman. All conversations with him were fair and courteous The speech community will miss  a prominent colleague.

We will miss Bernd Moebius as a very efficient Speech Communication editor and we all thank him for the excellent job he did for all speech authors. We also congratulate Frederic Bimbot who will succeed him and we welcome him in this very important activity.

Do not forget to submit your papers for Interspeech 2018: several dealines come in March! Let us make this Interspeech in India a memorable conference. I am eager to go to Hyderabad and to meet you at the ISCA General Assembly.
