2-1A message from our President Haizhou Li

Dear Members,

Welcome to the October edition of ISCApad!

We are pleased to pen the first few words for this edition. The ISCA Board held two meetings on the 6th and 10th of September 2015. The new board got down to business immediately after INTERSPEECH in Dresden, German and we would like to share with you the current progress.

  • ISCA Technical Committee: To facilitate coordination of ISCA technical activities, the ISCA Board has established its Technical Committee for the first time. The Technical Committee will oversee the technical programs of INTERSPEECH, such as scientific areas, scientific review committee, and review system, among others. The Technical Committee will be chaired by Lori Lamel.
  • ISCA Communication Committee: The ISCA Board has also appointed Kay Berkling to chair the Communication Committee, which takes care of the newsroom at ISCA Web, solicits and integrates information from sub-committees, enhances information flow within the ISCA community, maintains that the visible information is current and of interest to the public, and serves as liaison with ISCApad editor. This committee will also be looking to expand member and community outreach by expanding information access to lectures and news events.

We look forward to your support and input/participation for these committees in their activities.

Finally, a number of conference and workshop proceedings were added into the ISCA Online Archive in September 2015. Enjoy your reading!
