Welcome to the November issue of ISCApad!

 In this issue, the board would like to share some good news with you - ISCA Online Archive will go open access, effective from 1 January 2015!

The ISCA community has engaged and invested in research for several decades. The ISCA Online Archive represents a wealth of information, knowledge and scientific discovery in speech science and technology, including the proceedings of both ISCA workshops and INTERSPEECH (EUROSPEECH, ICSLP) conferences.

The proceedings for ISCA workshops became open access in 2009, while INTERSPEECH proceedings are currently only open to ISCA Members. The decision to allow open access to the whole of the ISCA Online Archive will enable us to share our research results with scientists in cognate areas such as computational linguistics, acoustics and machine learning, as well as the wider public, thereby maximising the value of our research investment. As a test run, INTERSPEECH 2014 Proceedings went online during the conference. With that, ISCA strives to provide open and timely accessibility of conference publications to the community.
