ISCApad #196

 Dear ISCA Members,

Interspeech 2014 is over:  we should congratulate all people who contribute to this great success. But now our glance is turned to the next Interspeeches that will take place in 2015 in Dresden (Germany), in 2016 in San Francisco (USA), in 2017 in Stockholm (Sweden).

You will also find below a call for bids for Interspeech 2018! The date seems quite distant but for the organizers, time is running very fast.

Concerning ICApad, we plan to have a section devoted the PhD theses in speech processing. Our student committee will help gather the names of all completed theses.

If you want to be updated with the planned conferences and workshops, you could also have a look on the IEEE-SLTC eNewsletter.  Usually we report calls for papers for the same conferences but sometimes one event could be missing in ISCApad or SLTC-eNewsletter. We  are all eager to find useful information but some publicity officers of conferences forget to inform the editors.

I remind you that any announcement is free and that the job offers remain on ISCApad for 6 months.  If the positions are not not filled within this period, you should submit a new job offer (better as a .doc document). It is also strongly recommended to inform me when the position is no longer vacant; you avoid many application emails and letters.

Best regards,

Chris Wellekens
