Dear members,

Here is our last issue for 2012. It contains much new information.

The most important one is the organization of a vote for the partial renewal of the ISCA board.

Many new conferences and new jobs are announced.

It is time for nominations for the 2013 ISCA fellow program.

But what is my greatest pleasure is the award of the ISCA scientific medal to my friend Hynek Hermansky. I fully agree with the decision of the jury and I am happy to congratulate Hynek for all he has done for speech processing as a researcher, as a professor and as a member of the ISCAboard!
