2-1President's message

Dear ISCA members,

I am very proud, on the behalf of the ISCA  board, to welcome Prof. Sadaoki
Furui and Prof. Hermann Ney as our new ISCA Distinguished Lecturers!
I want to thank here the members of our ISCA Distinguished Lecturer selection committee, chaired by Prof. Julia Hirschberg as well as our board member in charge of the DL program (Satoshi Nakamura) for the intensive work.

I also want to thank our new Distinguished Lecturers for accepting this position.

The ISCA DL program is an important function of our education and dissemination
activities. The ISCA board, the ISCA DLs, the ISCA-SIG officers and the ISCA workshop organizers are investing a lot of effort in this field.

We wish to continue to develop it, thanks to our new ISCA TRAINING SCHOOL program, a 2012 novelty more oriented in the direction of young or future speech researchers.

With my best regards,

Jean-François Bonastre
